TRAVEL PLANS

If you are attending a morning activity session, please arrive at Firth Court at Uni of Sheffield for 10:00, and follow the signs to the Council Room. There will be a place where you can store your bags for the day. ​

The morning fungi walk will leave promptly at 10:15am. If you are running late or do not need to drop your bags at the University, then you are also welcome to meet us at Malin Bridge tram stop (see map) at 11:00 latest. We will then take the register and begin the walk. (You can buy your tram ticket on the tram. If you are expecting to take 3 or more tram journeys on the day, the tram only day ticket is the cheapest option).

 

The morning botanical illustration class will begin at 10:30.

 

We recommend bringing lunch for the lunch slot (13:00-14:00) as there will be little time to head into town, though options are available in the Students' Union.

If you did the morning fungi walk, you will be taken back to the University to ensure you are ready to start your afternoon botanical class (if you are doing it) by 14:00.

 

If you are doing the afternoon fungi walk, please make sure you are in the main foyer/entrance of Firth Court by 13:15, as that is when you will be leaving. Again, you are also welcome to meet us at Malin Bridge tram stop at 14:00 latest when the register will be taken and the walk will begin. Once the walk is finished at 16:00, you will be taken back to the University.​

 

Once the afternoon sessions are finished, you are free to go off and check into your hotels etc. We are having an informal meal at Cambridge Street Collective at 18:00, followed by BoomBattleBar at 19:00 for shuffleboard, pool, and darts.
